Something Ventured: Tim Mills, Managing Partner, ACF Investors

ACF (formerly the Angel CoFund) backs early-stage businesses across a variety of sectors through co-investment funds that partner with angel syndicates. It also recently launched its Delta Fund, through which it is investing alongside more commercially-validated companies (cheques £500,000+). Investments include Brainwavebank, City Pantry (exited), Dogtooth, Fatmap, Gousto, Neurovalens, Nozzle, and Spoke.

Tim Mills is managing partner and has led ACF since establishing and launching the fund back in 2011. Until 2018 he was also an investment director for British Business Bank.

This event will cover:

  • how early-stage investment and the ecosystem as a whole has changed over the last ten years;

  • the increasing importance of "professional" angel investors in early-stage rounds;

  • the growing prominence of regional investment.

This is the fifth virtual roundtable interview in the Something Ventured series. In partnership with FieldHouse Associates, we are interviewing leading VCs via Zoom about the key issues around investment. After the opening 15 minutes of questions from Philip Salter, founder of The Entrepreneurs Network, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

FieldHouse Associates helps organisations across the fast-growth technology, innovation, and investment ecosystem achieve their strategic and commercial objectives, creating impact for them through bespoke integrated communications campaigns.

Advisers & Supporters should email events@tenentrepreneurs.org to confirm your attendance. A calendar invite will then be sent to you with all the details. Everyone else can request a place here.
